Dimensioning of an Inductor for Power Electronics

The applet shows step-by-step the procedure for dimensioning an inductor to be employed in a power electronics converter. The calculations are based on simplified analytical equations as given in the applet. For the sake of clarity magnetic stray fields are not considered. Therefore, the results of the calculation could differ from results of an experimental analysis of the inductor designed. Generally, the applet is intended to be educational but might also be useful for a quick and basic design.
